Position Overview  
* S. ?" h9 p9 G# Z3 [$ W The Field Operator is responsible for monitoring production in field locations surrounding the Balzac Gas Plant facility (10 minutes north of the Calgary city limits; 30 km from the downtown core). This position works a 35 day shift rotation, which includes 12 hour days/nights and 9 hour training days. This role is bound by the terms of the Collective Agreement (Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Local 773).
* ?, l! B* s1 j' xJob Duties/Responsibilities  
  s6 L$ z& U8 X -  Display competency with operations procedures checklists and critical procedures;
-  Provide day to day control of producing wells, pipelines and associated production equipment;
-  Make and carry out recommendations to maximize production, minimize operating costs and eliminate downtime;
! g0 F2 r' w: a5 @- c) @-  Ensure all field related activities are completed safely, on schedule and in an environmentally safe and cost effective manner;
% l) g8 A' p) ]. H-  Comply with all EH&S, Corporate and Regulatory rules and procedures. Report any unacceptable conditions and incidents;
-  Work in a team-oriented atmosphere and contribute to the ongoing success of the Balzac Complex;

8 |8 }6 A) I* |& I% w' p' S - Grade 12 diploma or equivalent in training and experience;
1 ?8 t3 A2 `. C' ?% Q2 y-  Minimum of 3 years' related experience operating sour gas wells, pipelines and compressors;
-  Current H2S Alive certification or equivalent;
/ C) C, U& O6 t( H1 ]-  Dependable, organized and self motivated;
- e+ D1 K( e6 q* g% r-  Strong initiative and problem solving skills;
$ H; A8 S, f% c) A7 \  n' J5 ^-  A willingness and ability to work in outdoor conditions.
