Two cutler –hammer advantage starters are doing the same thing:( \8 b5 E, Y6 h; ^ ~+ C7 X; C
After start 2-3 times, they will quit working, if you toggle the start and stop buttons on DCS screen , you will get another 2-3 running before they quit working again.
9 R. l0 @% Y; u! m$ aIt is a cycle./ o- j$ W5 s, b
: E+ A# t5 j2 D- h# l$ w4 uWe isolate the network control and use the local start and stop only, the problem remains.
) Q/ S* ]! m$ _ Z I( oSwap one of the defective buckets with a good one, the new bucket works fine.
6 E+ O$ Z- c% g" q4 HThe problem should be inside the bucket.$ v a+ u4 G1 A2 C ~( ~) E2 C

When the problem happened, we observed that the contactor has a pulling action but will not seal.6 Z$ a( D1 s8 g+ w2 t
Use a terminating screw divers to push in the contactor, it will not seal either.
: N+ ], g/ u9 {* J$ _" hConfirm with TECH support this should be a problem with the control circuit board inside the advantage starter, we bought two new control circuit boards and replaced the old ones, the problem is still the same. g; {& Q4 I2 C: `, e( l
! H- K; @4 E1 R1 uThe next thing we can think of is the coil, we took the coil out to have a close look.; J1 H" l4 E, A9 U4 r# m4 {$ y
They have a fork to pinch inside the two leads to make connection, it is not a good design at all. We soldered the connection and tried again.) C# [3 ^1 z6 B
It is getting better this time, we have 7-8 times of running before it quit working. 4 c5 b- F" V8 w* P5 N- q
