各位有听写的习惯吗？

我听新闻很长时间了，可是总走神，收效不大。
我从上周起开始听写youtube上的新闻，短的，3分钟之内的听写。有没有跟我一样感兴趣的，我们互相刺激吧，要不我估计明天就没动力了。

Fans of hockey night in Canada have serious tests for the summer. Come up with new theme for hockey night. A contest has ben launched looking for the best song already more than thousands summtions have been made. But any of them ~~~（21秒左右，我听不出来）. ~~(Name) finds out.

It could be ~~~（29秒）。 It could be rock. Or maybe ~~~~(37秒). One thing for sure, hockey night in canada's new theme wouldn't be the same.

Actually, it is a pretty good melody.

The head of CBC sports says the response to contest hockey night in Canada theme is a way beyond expectations. Nearly 15,000 entries so far with more months to go.

The good news you get many entries and you get some gold. The bad news is you have to take through a lot of rock.

Most listen to the entries features sond like cats, sheep and babys. But if you think it is one big joke, you are wrong. Composers has put a lot of thoughts on new hockey anthem.

It is not just ~~~~ （1：50 秒）. The rock of love  in montral is finishing up his PHD  on musicial composition.

So time to put some these candidates to the test. Even in the summer, ideal targets on audiance is not identified （不确定是不是听对了）.

This is no question.That melody wont be easy to be replaced. But CBC says it will happen.

练习听写是提高的很好的方法,但是对付日常生活不行. 日常生活讨论的话,不是这种新闻中主谓宾都齐的东西.
日常生活讲话很快,尤其音量还小,年轻人还读字读一半,非常恶心.

建议:lz听不懂的单词,可以根据发音猜测拼写,然后google乱找,一般可以找到.

But any of them ~~~. ~~ finds out. （我猜这句可能是说，某某人发现，任何参赛作品都显得陈词滥调，或过于激烈，或雷同，或过于格式化等等。总之，似乎不太令人满意。）

接下来主持人播放了几段配有画面的参赛作品，并伴有画外音解说：
It could be techno.（这可能是 techno 风格。）
It could be rock.（这可能是 rock 风格。）
Or maybe orchestra. （也许是 orchestra 风格。）

然后说：One thing for sure, <hockey night> in canada's new theme，won't be the same.
（有一件事可以肯定，<冰球之夜>在加拿大是个新主题，将与以往不同。）

个人观点：

1. 听写是一个经典方法。既然是经典，你要是照做了就一定有用。
2. 埃德蒙顿不象国内。这里有很多比听写更好的方法。
3. 大家不必打消楼主的积极性。因为听写的方法极难坚持，过些天楼主自然会改换门庭。

没有打击我，大家纠正我的错误，会让我更加努力，更加有动力。

我说英文没有问题，日常交流和工作技术交流都没有问题，我本科除了拿我本专业的学位，还拿了个英语学位（修完了所有英语专业需要的课程，包括说和写）。我目前的问题是个瓶颈问题，好多陌生的话题，好像听明白了，又好像没听明白，这个状态好几年了，我觉得要是不努力突破一下子，这辈子就这样了。

以前家人还在国内的时候，自己相当于单身汉，没牵扯，加入了一个club，每天至少2小时跟本地人谈话，啥话题都有，政治经济文化女人。后来团聚了，没这好事了，一家老小把我给拴住了。偶尔周末去教堂参加谈话活动，我既不想说太多招人烦，也不能不说，总之咋样都难受，干脆就不去了。
目前就是工作时跟人交流，但同事就是同事，没有多少其他的交流。
所以进步这事，进展缓慢。

我感觉听力不只是词汇问题，还有文化背景问题。别说外语，就是汉语里的外语词汇，听明白了也可能不解其义。如，在埃德蒙顿听人说上 ESL，没人不明白。但是到了蒙特利尔，可能没几个人懂。同样，魁北克的中国移民说上 COFI，拿 bursary。孩子高中毕业后，上大学前必须先上 CEGEP。这里的人听懂了，也不明白。

一个朋友在香港教普通话，听力录音中有一段说，“几家百货商店被抢”。所有中国学生的听写结果都是：“百货商店”。所有老外学生的听写结果都是：“百商店”，甚至有人的结果是：“几百家商店”。以新闻报道的语速说“百货商店”，那个“货”字根本听不出来。老外的听力水平再高，也听不出“货”字，而中国学生的水平再低，也知道绝对没有“百商店”这样一种说法。

书写方面也有类似的例子，一个朋友在国内是语文老师，在加拿大做中文学校老师。她说国内小学生可能会把“鸡”错写成“鸭”。但从来没有学生把“鸡”写成“鸟又”，把“鸭”写成“鸟甲”。这里的学生缺少中国文化背景，受西方文化影响，把汉字当拼音书写，才会出现这种错误。因此，相关的背景知识在语言学习中非常重要。

这个朋友说的很对. 听力上大部分是一种习惯.
我现在看国内的电影,对白一定要字幕. 很多对白听一遍,有些话,话中有话,一遍听不懂,要字幕才行.

补充一下,如果听台湾节目,不论电影还是访谈节目,都无法没有字幕.
台湾人汉语说的,整个要断层了,感觉. 很多奇怪的词组,很多强行从台语翻译为普通话的表达方式.
听台湾新闻还可以,艺人的宗艺节目有2-3%左右的困难. 很多词是年轻人生造出来的,可能台湾人就这么说,我听不懂.
同理:让台湾,香港人看大陆的相声,小品,基本不知道我们为什么笑. 可是我们说的都是汉语哇?

Millions of patients  struggling  with depression are putting their ~~~（6秒）  medications to feel better .~~ （8秒）

Today british researchers said serveral popular anti depressants are essentially  no matter than the placebo.
Our helth reporter Maureen taylor will explain more about this study.

Oh, peter, the  review involoved 4 clinical trial  on four anti depressants . The names will be familiar to many canadians.
They are Prozac, Effexor, Paxil and Serzone. Now, Serzone was withdrawn from the market, because of a little  （37秒） toxicity a few years ago. But the other three remain wildly popular.Last year Canadian doctors wrote 20 million prescriptions for these and similar medications as known as SSRI's to the ~~（50秒）about 1 billion dollars. But you know, peter, when researches acutally analized all the data ,
they found these medications were no better than dummy pillow or placebo people with mild or moderate depression.

It wasn't people did not feel better on the drugs,  because they said they did. it just people take the dummy dillow feels better too . The only group seems to drive some benefit people with severe depression.  Even then, the officer （1：17秒）study said the benefit was questionable. Peter

All right, why the drugs were approved if they are not effective.

You know, that is a good question. Because we don't know ~~（1：25秒）we get the reasoning from FDA or Helth canada, when they approve or don't approve drugs
But here is the reaction to this study from one drug industy representive in the UK.

These medicine being licenced by number of regular ～～（1：39）authority arround the world ,including here , United Kingdom and therefore the regular ～～（1：43）authority looking all the evidence. They determine ~~~ （1:50 ）

what people take the medications  do. The first thing you shouldn't do is stop taking these medication before talking to your doctor, because it can experince side effect they do, but it does point the effect the medications don't work for everyone. Perhaps it is time to take less invasive approach to treat the depression ,like talk therpy before turning to medications. Peter
