The Desktop Support Team Leader is a supervisory/advisory position that is responsible for the support of the City of Edmonton desktop environment, including geographical support City wide:

, J8 o4 U- {, R' U+ Q" \! O· Supervising a team of technical staff, which will include staff recruitment, setting performance expectations, evaluations, mentoring and coaching.

' G& R1 ?: q8 W9 Q5 I% W· Planning, coordinating and allocating staff to ensure effective & efficient support of City desktops.

· Working with other operational areas in maintaining an ever evolving desktop support model.

· Establishing standards, procedures and documentation for the Desktop Support area.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

: R/ v, P7 X% d/ D. J; M· Degree or Diploma in Computing Science from a C.I.P.S. accredited institution.

1 v) i! S2 y# h) b1 q4 x/ z· Minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible work in systems development that would include supporting a desktop environment.

· Experience in supervision, leading,and managing a team of technical experts is essential.

# {; g8 M% |- x21M, Salary Grade: 038, $37.02 - $46.76 (Hourly), $2,498.99 - $3,156.37 (Bi-Weekly), $65,223.51 - $82,381.19 (Annually). The rates quoted are in accordance with a collective agreement between the Union and the City of Edmonton.
