Cabin Safety Trainer (Vancouver)
9 _# A8 ~6 r! Q# ]; fHarmony Airways is currently recruiting for the position of Cabin Safety Trainer. This newly created position will involve the facilitation of Cabin Safety training programs. Cabin Safety Trainers will retain their Cabin Crew Member qualifications and will also conduct on-line Cabin Safety audits.

• An in-depth knowledge of the Cabin Services training programs;! e( X4 H: z& A# W7 ~ k

• Ensuring that the applicable program has been updated prior to delivery;# F( Y5 X2 ?/ ]3 |, @/ ]) A6 G

• Maintaining awareness with regard to changes in Company policies and procedures;

• Delivery of approved training programs;# e; a0 J* N2 ~) P: c. F
I. c* U2 ^" t. t9 ^' O• Making recommendations with regard to training program quality and accuracy;8 q4 Q4 Y! R8 X5 X* Q- n" n

• Implementing the climate setting of the classroom;

. c' p$ V5 q2 b& G. V, r: g• Ensuring that equipment is available and in serviceable order;

• Reporting unserviceable equipment to the Training Coordinator;( E* K6 z; f$ [; L9 I1 X) a
: O& A4 j1 d; n" u& J. `• Ensuring that attendance records and course paperwork are collected and sorted for filing;" v5 F. A7 t% |8 g3 Q. Z$ {) Z
; E3 ^* x0 P! N
• Performing Cabin Safety audits to ensure that Transport Canada regulations and Company policy with regard to Cabin Safety is being adhered to;

; l9 j# a |" U( W9 W• Identify on-line trends that are a threat to safety or require additional training and make recommendations to the Cabin Safety Manager.

. ?! d1 l# }7 G, M, s% Y; OThe following will apply to the scheduling of Cabin Safety Trainers:

6 k" A* G3 I* ^& I! O- P• Trainers will be notified at least two months in advance of training requirements;+ N( L+ z7 y& e+ u/ \( S8 p
: B( W% z: F! a+ q" R7 Q3 w
• Trainers will report to the Cabin Safety Training Coordinator;8 e; T* O7 j- P' b2 \- u" W
& ?6 ` F6 Z. r, k0 \5 @
• Training and Cabin Safety audits will be included in the Trainer’s monthly block award as required;- k n4 f7 ]. v6 c# q" f# s

• Trainers will be scheduled on a rotating basis at the discretion of the Cabin Safety Manager;

• Trainers will continue to operate in their assigned capacity as CSM or CCM when not facilitating training or conducting Cabin Safety audits.

7 Q5 X( a% Q; ^& \& b# M, L% O4 K: m5 r• Fully understands company policies, procedures, and corporate structure;8 G$ O9 O1 | z! d) i" g/ \5 ~
9 n) V$ q* m8 V- `2 U P. ^• Can facilitate effective adult learning;

. v5 z0 z) e* P" ? G1 A6 k• Is composed while being monitored by the Cabin Safety Manager and Transport Canada;3 C7 n, u9 @" O) r

• Excellent communication skills;/ V- i+ G& X- d/ f {# r% a
$ p# \' d* J7 P, H5 c• Previous training experience would be an asset;

) I* Z! f/ p: F• Highly organized with the ability to multitask in a fast paced working environment;

• Basic knowledge of MS Office applications, specifically Word, Excel & PowerPoint;

% x |' ~4 G2 D: h* G• A second language would be an asset, preferably French, Mandarin & Cantonese;
