3 K' [; U8 `" n& Q) ]0 XKey Responsibilities & Duties:

 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
. m5 u. G+ k7 a& o+ n  F( n) b Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
' ?$ i# P2 G2 S1 [ Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
3 z, ^/ o! T; T+ x Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
+ g# H% q7 p$ F5 f Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
: N; [& F1 c2 R( b/ b7 S Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

& i) `5 P7 _# x7 r' aQualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
8 D* Q6 G$ c3 f+ T' v4 ^$ |6 Q% B Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
7 u0 L% n3 |( ^) ~ Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
/ U# l/ p; N4 P) r) P: e9 O Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
4 n7 B$ n/ L4 W; r6 c  o Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

& X" Z1 z6 a8 C6 s) O: ^& XPosition:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
