8 u/ S) a. Q, `: G Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.0 c$ W- y7 T6 Q3 y0 b. S
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site., d% y" |3 b' B2 i/ |! v
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth./ u' ?! N6 P# E
 Completing required paperwork.& c+ j- K _. y0 C" e
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.

 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
. `: n) v. d& F$ H( k( Q Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.; m9 i# _" Q y9 y
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.

( q) s# X; c6 ~0 X7 v, S Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.4 f# F/ K0 d1 c( v' z
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
, f" x6 A) J9 k& S Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.! V: K; ], }+ r' s( W
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.4 c6 ?5 F0 G. p
 Knowledge of community resources.% F9 D$ |; W/ |
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.& D/ h& m# n# S) |( x/ e# |+ y9 t
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. 1 a S' S3 j! t" P: X7 R. i, N5 ?

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50; 1 g# S! G" R- A% c5 G- B$ e8 _
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period. |
