Job Description
, [1 z, ?9 d2 ]' c! g- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
+ F$ u" T* \2 M; Q* b" x+ E- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.! W' P8 E& w& G- U8 Z1 W% e! f
- develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP
& j& j. Z9 z& d6 ?% L) d- provide support to ISP staff
' t3 f4 B v/ B; N D- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members0 Z; R) A: s9 Q
- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities- {; j" H! w7 e. ~9 u
- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
9 \: ^5 g- s$ P G4 H- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
* R7 C% B, S- D- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals7 M5 X+ [6 G: K5 b' }0 S
- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder
U# i' b& O0 [" \; _8 Y% ?- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.# v, S; r$ B; b% k, y6 R: ]
- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities

Qualifications% x, o" w- g3 e) h% \5 c, w+ S
- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
& S4 B1 H1 q7 Q7 _- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
* q5 A G' @! d* X) |, n- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers
7 b* |3 a/ m6 Y. T& E3 O$ G- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software% @9 ^: b. W$ D: R% d0 q
- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)% L( O; @) q; _* ^2 {
- good interpersonal and people skills' c) E4 Q& w$ @, A! b7 w
- good organizational and coordination skills% X1 C8 y* y3 s, c
- valid driver’s license/ E- P' M3 e+ W% R6 \

- must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense
