1. It's cool:cool 是青少年(teen-agers) 常用的字,(有时也用 debonaire)4 x# J8 r& i S% k
(可指人或事物)也就是 something good or acceptable;situation is under control;being calm, gentle, courteous or good-looking;meet teen's standard.
1 r9 D8 v4 Q0 V7 ~" Y( O: S) [ P" t: x; m d1 v6 E$ E4 k5 z
That's cool;he is cool;this is cool.
" A" p# ~( {# m) i

* s7 w! q ]% u. f: A, s
X7 ?! y+ Q1 o* H9 o6 C1 k6 T 主词可用任何人称的单复数 (I, we, they 等),动词可用 verb to be 的任何时态 (is, was, were, will be, have been等)。
2 p9 S8 u# c* |5 \7 d# {- n2 s; G) Y, J. @
She (He) was cool in the past.% [( e2 m* D x0 z7 e9 R- G1 q$ f# F

但是如果说:Are you cool?
: I# \, c% [% L9 Y( j. I
She looks as cool as a cucumber. 又是恭维语,是说她很 calm and charming; not

2. Are you trippin'?:trippin' 这个字,是由动词 trip 演变而来。 这个字是现在分词当形容词用,是指行为异乎寻常,也许受到吸毒或喝酒的影响,而显得神魂颠倒、奇形怪状(to get high on drug such as LSD),也就是说:要不是受到药、酒的影响,你为什 显得这样古怪呢?(Are you under any influence of drug or alcoholic? Why are you so crazy and bizarre?)
8 g! a- O$ k9 z. m. `* K) z }* `: @9 e! S& F% u
They are trippin'. (= tripping)

3 P; Z$ @5 e5 ^& N+ x* }) ?' } 3. He is a nerd:nerd (A person always buries his nose in books, but not good at social situations.) (IQ = Intelligence Quotient ; EQ = Emotional Quotient) nerd 可用复数,动词也能用其他时态。
( _" i; b2 n2 c! |, o/ @/ E/ d+ [) X! r1 o
He used to be a nerd in high school.
0 z/ L7 q" v$ F( v/ _% q9 }+ i: P9 T) f, j4 M" P: I: z
Many Chinese students are(或 have been)considered nerds.$ m3 E% Q; w7 K5 l6 z
+ {9 `( ^% R8 O+ { u& @, R$ z He is a computer geek.
* T0 u: I: e8 n/ B- W+ J/ _; D/ i9 ~2 ]5 \5 N4 o g; W! ~2 G
: O* `% S( X" c P8 ?9 ]1 i R" g Q" f
0 `' f; M6 }; a. D; k# a% Z I don't like him because he is a jerk., {4 t l- b( X8 @3 T* v

They are jerks; He was a jerk in the past; Mr. A has been jerk for years.# X. _6 A* C& Z3 o0 F) e! T

* M A0 U: v- E: }1 ]& t! B) u. c+ L/ C8 H$ `# \$ `6 ?
(He thinks she is pretty and attractive, so he wants to speak to her.),也就是找话题,想要「打开话匣」。(to use as a form of opening line or pick-up line or to begin a greeting; try to know her or date her) 如果说:
: v& U% j' ]5 S5 U4 ^6 G" @$ r# _5 M$ h! B# e# w# H1 `
Yo baby, are you trippin'?
* `6 u5 E5 Y$ T. H8 c" n3 v1 z' p+ A) ]& I, w
& F) |+ M/ W3 T, ?8 y w
0 n5 x2 ?0 Q7 P: D( S/ k7 b7 K* j May I help you with something? I think I have met you somewhere before.% B* N* M! W) l) g
2 B1 s' \, m! I5 r5 w: Q6 \
5 ^0 r0 U! D9 j4 \- ]$ [# f- I
Hey, hey, hey, what's going on?“what is going on?”就是年轻黑人打招呼的用语 (a form of greeting or open statement) 或 Hey, hey, hey, are you going to the movie?(帅哥,你是去看电影吗?)2 ~+ n1 S0 Z5 i% A$ ]1 |& q
2 j( g% r& Z. t! B- F8 X; q
5. Catch you later! (a form to say“good乡bye”) 也就是说:现在没有时间与你交谈,以後再谈吧!(I don't have time to talk with you now, but we can talk later.) catch 後面,也可用其他人称代名词(him, her, them 等)
' L3 S- j6 s9 \. j$ k L8 M2 s! W8 x$ @( V; S
有时年轻小伙子也用:I am off. I am leaving now; I'll talk to you again.$ ~6 k! l ?# _; r( z0 i
