Responsibilities and Tasks
        Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
        Rebuild and/or repair production machinery and systems on site
; u: [3 q* j9 r2 ]* u7 O        Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment
        Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces and generators according to layout plans using hand and power tools
        Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controls
8 F) H! D4 [; j/ V2 Q: F2 E        Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks and tractors to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery
2 j- m. @# d+ ]! K( Y7 p4 G        Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions, reporting of all suspect facility and operational issues
5 K  z/ B. B+ F7 C( ^  T8 [        Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
        Operate machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machinery
: L( S) O' U% _- v9 b& `) o* @        Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
/ C9 T! Q1 B. C        Construct foundations for machinery or direct other workers to construct foundations
$ c( h; j  j% _  ~' C        Provide support to the manufacturing operations, positively interacting with customers for timely resolution of production/equipment concerns
        Actively participate in the safety program of Iyinisiw
        Other tasks related to industrial equipment as may be required during the course of business

0 D1 c+ H% c& G2 E( u) x-        Completion of secondary school
-        Completion of a three- to four-year apprenticeship program or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in industrial machinery repair or for millwrights
5 O  W( y  W1 f% j' `-        Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
-        Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
-        Industrial mechanic (millwright) trade certification is considered an asset
-        Safety tickets are considered an asset
-        Interprovincial Red Seal is an asset

-        Completion of secondary school
-        A minimum of 5 years’ work experience as an industrial Millwright
-        Basic English communication skills
-        Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
