2 h3 y4 `# }! T" O% V) }4 @The Family Enrichment Worker works in the Home Visitation Program (The Program) and is responsible for supporting families in their homes. They work collaboratively with families to set goals for their children’s health and well being while utilizing a solution-focused approach. The Family Enrichment Worker builds strong trusting relationships and provides support in: linking families with other services, providing relevant information and resources, utilizing the Parents As Teachers curriculum to help parents with child development, and assist families with positive parenting strategies. z5 e* P. In-home support is provided to families with children up to the age of five and those with prenatal needs. The Program offers support on a weekly basis for families who are parenting for the first time and are experiencing multiple stressors that may impact their ability to parent successfully. As families develop support systems and learn to manage crises, the support visits decrease. , ?3 L @! y- R. a! m6 R; ]

Qualifications:
. r) [6 M5 p2 E• Minimum of a Post Secondary Diploma in a Human Services field.4 ^4 ?" ]1 t: T
• Three (3) years direct experience working with families and children, including those who are marginalized and/or culturally diverse.4 e$ V2 W* F4 {. m' X9 y
• South Asian language ability required (Gujarati, Hindi or Punjabi) ?1 a5 j1 k" W6 x
• Solid knowledge of child development and family dynamics.
. n" y# w" y, o2 w- ~- z• Knowledge in maternal and infant health and knowledge in prevention of child abuse and neglect.. X' q3 t7 w$ o4 j& B& b
• Familiar with community resources to facilitate appropriate referrals.- S3 L0 q$ S$ B' u" ?* | @
• Experience providing support to families in their homes an asset.
* D: _+ ^9 g! }• Team player. Computer literate. Proficient verbal and written English.

• Available for one-time travel to the United States for training.

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours/week; willing to work a flexible schedule, which includes daytime and evening hours.2 l8 ]; g! A. ]: k
