Challenge: Canada Post is looking for motivated individuals to deliver mail on our rural and suburban routes. If you are someone who takes pride in serving the community and who is interested in working within a large, diverse organization, this position may be for you! . l0 T, d7 L' l( i0 u' f
Duties: The position requires walking, lifting, carrying and driving in all types of weather conditions. The Rural and Suburban mail carrier is also responsible to:

) k) C# f( l* N# b. xSort, collect and deliver mail items weighing up to 30 kgs (66 lbs) within a specified route. " b/ f' I9 \6 q- `

Recruit a helper to assist him or her if additional hours are required - F) f) w) O9 N1 r# C3 \" C- |: H
Recruit a replacement for the purposes of leave and / or unexpected absences. , v' y7 ]4 B, M- Q+ t
Project a positive and courteous manner when dealing with customers face-to-face.

, ?/ n7 F- Z7 Z1 m: jHours of work: Vary per route / 5 days per week. Please note: Due to fluctuations in mail volumes, the hours worked may change from week to week.

Salary & Vehicle Allowance: $13,000.00 to $40,566.00 (including vehicle allowance for the route). The employee will be responsible for providing and maintaining the vehicle.

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

1 w0 l+ S, `: d/ A$ D/ f. `# ~Have experience in driving and or making deliveries, dealing with the public, processing documents and handling cash transactions.

Must demonstrate eligibility to obtain commercial insurance with $1,000,000 liability coverage . T7 F3 W" W7 A% t
Must demonstrate the ability to hire a helper or replacement for the purposes of leave and expected absences as well as additional hours.
