You will review applications and write approvals for industrial and municipal facilities/activities, pursuant to the Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act and the Water Act. Responsibilities also include conducting site visits, reviewing facility performance, coordinating issue resolution and providing support to regional water and compliance teams. You will represent the department at meetings, on public organizations, airshed societies and government/non-government committees. Your knowledge of industrial processes, wastewater and air emissions, air quality modelling, hazardous and municipal waste management and environmental engineering is essential. You are well organized, an excellent communicator and have the ability to work cooperatively as well as independently. # c4 z) r% \* v/ ?6 P- s, l$ G4 }# b/ R% f

Qualifications: B.Sc. in Engineering, (Environmental, Civil or Chemical preferred) plus extensive experience including one or more areas related to air and water pollution control and waste management. Equivalencies may be considered. Must be eligible for membership with APEGGA. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and valid Class 5 driver's license is required.
