I have a friend named Monty Roberts who owns a horse ranch in San Ysidro.

3 d7 C, m; q& othe stables and the track. Then he drew a detailed floor plan for a 4,000-square-foot - }9 ] ], K& D s, G$ ~* l
house that would sit on a 200-acre dream ranch. 6 d1 K: j# d) O1 l/ L
0 C5 ?) e/ h1 u) o2 E! Q2 f: s'He put a great deal of his heart into the project and the next day he
; q. A8 I8 J Y/ ]0 dhanded it in to his teacher. Two days later he received his paper back. 7 p, j) H7 U( B& b
On the front page was a large red F with a note that read, `See me after ! F N1 ]& J ~5 ~- n

'The boy with the dream went to see the teacher after class and asked,

You have to pay for the original breeding stock and later you'll have to & y7 f. U/ I0 ?, e; L
pay large stud fees. There's no way you could ever do it.’ Then the teacher # t7 g) \6 F0 M( g
added, `If you will rewrite this paper with a more realistic goal, I will & k) s3 O" o! e2 F
reconsider your grade.’ " Q5 U$ _+ P% y; E

'The boy went home and thought about it long and hard. He asked his father ) z! @) Q" U. v; }, J+ _/ l

'Finally, after sitting with it for a week, the boy turned in the same

because you are sitting in my 4,000-square-foot house in the middle of
# O8 H! o$ p3 }" v* R4 D# M* }my 200-acre horse ranch. I still have that school paper framed over the
- F6 M& @( r" t+ J* I3 bfireplace.' He added, 'The best part of the story is that two summers ago
