Stampede parade always on 2nd Friday of July. This year is on July 8th. It's best to take C-train (Calgary LRT) although downtown paid parking was not en-forced during parade. If you want to see wagon race, wild horse riding, bull wrestling etc at Grand Stand, you need to buy ticket for the competition and it includes stampede park admission. All other shows are free. Sunday is family day, from 6 am to 9 am, all admission to the Stampede park are free. After 10 am , you can get a re-entry stamp on your wrist and walk to Chinatown for dim sum and come back to the Park later. Also there are free admission day on Kids Day, Senior Day etc. Please Google 'Calgary Stampede' for detail. Thursday, the day before parade, is called preview day, all games on Stampede ground are half price. Everyday at 12 midnight there are firework at the Grand Stand, right next to Stampede Ground. All these are as per past years, please google to confirm. |
