Class 1 Driver Needed

CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

& Z" B5 m" b3 h, J- {· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork

· Connecting and disconnecting trailers

# G: I4 a/ j+ @( t' R· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order

' C: z4 T2 }! I( V% i· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s
$ a" L0 i6 z2 y0 i% `0 y; ~! _
· Operate manual and automatic shifts
5 e; }, J2 o5 x% E- S+ G
; U$ \8 @8 Z6 F  ?* A/ e' Z4 f7 w. Y· Secure loads safely

* i6 H. ?/ N$ S· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
Qualifications and Training Requirements

* G$ L4 r$ h9 S4 C· Minimum 3 years experience

- {  h! q; ~3 o; ?5 C& p* m" E- y  h· Valid Class 1 license

· 5 years clean driving record and abstract
4 A; c. s4 u# Z3 N
' i5 D6 d' A. `* L" ^7 F3 r· Load securement certification
% R! a' F# ~  @1 }: z  K
· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations
* X" ^, N5 ?' r: f0 l- i
· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Ability to make runs to town or day runs to Fort Mac

· Oversized loads experience is considered an asset
