CALGARY - A fire has halted operations at one of Suncor Energy's two oilsands upgraders north of Fort McMurray, the company said Tuesday.; @8 }* \4 J8 C `& b* g7 z6 u

The energy giant said the 125,000-barrel-per-day unit was shut down after the fire, and it is currently assessing damage./ F" K8 O1 H& g2 b! q
' k% G. X. ?" o: ]2 I) o+ vSuncor has been plagued by a series fires at its oilsands operations in the past five months, suffering three fires since October in the upgraders which convert bitumen into synthetic crude oil.
