While most of Chinese were celebrating the New Year's Eve with their families or friends, I chose to spend the special evening with my fellow classmates in an Asian restaurant.) k+ H$ {4 U- y z

The party was a typical multicultural mix. Our gang included an Egyptian physician, a pharmaceutic sales rep from Middle East, 2 exchange students from France, 2 Quebec students, a PHD from one of the African countries, an army guy who returned back from Afghanistan not long ago, a physiologist, a lawyer from Brazil, a marketing professional from South Africa, several Canadian students, and two guys who are somebody's boyfriend.

" `* Z, M3 n$ | l3 oThe food and service were great. The young chief talked a few good jokes that made everybody laugh. He also offered himself and our hot Brazilian lawyer a shoot. The night was full of of light chats, laughs and cheers. My order came with a small portion of New York steak, salad, Japanese soup and rice. and the bill was $22 plus tips. 3 b% C* d1 a- s% x0 r' X1 s
