 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
' G# ]' h- p! z) ?. _  | Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
3 I& m1 P8 p6 d8 z% q4 @ Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
  @+ d% L8 H, J5 R# r Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

Qualifications:
# L3 L9 n- E7 [% G  p
/ F' K- c0 z4 D1 O( t5 [3 [0 p Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
$ K6 D3 c. k' ?  L  ? Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
" Y3 Z; I9 L; R5 r Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
