 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.( n/ v# x. h5 y1 N, N" H! R
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
* Q8 }& F- D7 [: Q P Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.9 W& F( K1 E' {2 L0 j9 X! I
 Completing required paperwork. g. a6 S! N+ I Y
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
2 s- z- p$ b" S5 C Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
. \& q8 f; q3 o1 u Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information. 4 F9 {2 Q, @4 x5 r$ X, i2 g
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
' m7 n3 C; _& F% Z Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.

 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

3 H9 y' m: g5 L' p* {0 f$ o5 X Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.+ l7 a, v0 {, x
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
% N* b* b, s. z! H4 i" C6 {" @8 L Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
1 D: D* ]* ^2 { d4 Z/ N Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.6 y! g1 Q d/ w. H" w
 Knowledge of community resources.
- m; R$ f8 s" U Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
, v$ E0 b8 m @! ]7 \ | Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50; + e6 c- i$ N+ i
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period. |
