YWCA Edmonton has an opportunity for a permanent Payroll Administrator position. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the processing the YWCA payroll, accounts receivables, and other finance related duties. ' c) @1 M2 h* w3 i$ o2 Y# l; E: }
Job Responsibilities:

/ I2 p: t6 d9 _4 b• Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired
, S% i* R5 j, ?6 u1 q• Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll
1 R0 a0 u* l/ [8 `/ ?! w( V• Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records
3 R- c, X; b5 c3 M7 J. l• Input benefit deductions into payroll

• Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider8 b8 p9 [9 P" B) J% N1 B, E/ w7 x x- z3 ~
• Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website
0 ]8 O* \, [' v! u6 J• Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s0 H: Q9 S5 p; m& r6 [
• Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority

• Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll 2 L9 v8 g* U2 h" @+ s, Z
• Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.4 o! j# o3 H7 H7 ~1 _8 t
• Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies
% D$ F2 J0 M9 \) p) V• Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting

• Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit
5 k$ i) S- |, k# U2 B• Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department2 t$ s+ Q; I% z
• Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments& S6 P0 _; Q Y' Y/ W- j
• Prepare and complete miscellaneous third party billing

• Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP# \# S9 {. y: X5 I9 g- v9 M
• Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association
: m+ ]' Y2 X! [- b) F• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll related position
, b) ?1 G/ p1 ]4 _) J• Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office! c. O' O1 f$ B& |9 ]$ K) K
• Detail oriented and demonstrated accuracy in work

• Knowledge and experience of cash handling procedures
