Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. * K; y( ?. ?9 B8 q" i

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
) S0 {/ @, b' U! k! u& }; q• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST0 R- U' e t: n9 B
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
1 M+ c+ ~$ ?8 F9 X• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
0 L3 t6 d1 { Q. ?& Q• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
. I& _% k) U& U# R• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker, K' o/ {! w1 Q
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events$ G+ a& h; Y2 U+ K- @) B, f
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:3 U, j1 W; b9 h4 |
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
) m e5 J2 l1 c• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset

) D" @4 {3 ]$ i- m8 d/ g5 X• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients- i8 z2 R3 U) {0 Y) X
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

( I, N$ s/ ? I# Z$ i• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 5 f% e3 Y+ A- e) n$ F
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment

• Ability to work well under minimal supervision6 g. M2 i* V% u3 N+ y, f7 }1 h
