- submit information for community news
# v1 _- M7 D. P7 C- k- provide volunteers to update membership database! N- b9 p% x& n) l
- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers
# b$ m- n! F' l$ C0 h- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties
+ o% E' A7 Q' M, [( f) v- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties
- x; q/ i. U# z% `. z; E- provide volunteers for various programs
8 I5 h5 j' j: o4 D: u- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual$ U' O- {1 L1 T! ~4 ^8 B
- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
* d' R) A& t$ O$ z2 A) {) m- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
2 p' |( s, K- @# {! Y! I, H B- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services$ j& ] U' ~6 E7 W" K0 T" P
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports! e+ ]) U; L, R, W- p2 h7 t1 v
- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed
( A# R6 o* _5 @, p, D r; m- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed; F# h$ e$ ]% h8 V! Q; ]8 \
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)
, s6 m; c( M, T( I# k- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events % K; h! B9 k+ S; I V' T0 Y
- development and distribution of a volunteer manual
* y: S p1 _! ]/ j1 C* V- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers
; e- b3 ]2 t: d) B- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers ; E- L' j6 v! X6 |9 R
- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis
/ T5 n; ?9 U& x- evaluations . u5 T3 y, D! @& y* l+ X" y! @
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education& W, r. ~1 O |" W& l
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills/ [" }2 l1 w8 G
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services
3 i* M6 D3 {" P2 H" Z3 X s3 `- leadership skills
- J' E |8 m6 p- management and supervision skills+ I( v# b3 x& @% n
- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills) j3 t! L0 T9 S" [3 k
