Responsibilities

·         Engineering 480V to 38kV switchgear
% R2 N& e4 ]  p! q8 J8 M( Y
·         Engineering 2.4kV to 7.2kV Motor Control Centres including softstarters and autotransformer starters

·         Engineering fully integrated electrical buildings
4 }( t0 F, x/ x* \' P5 L( h* \% x0 Z/ a
# P9 @  @2 A3 Q' M, M; i·         Reviewing vendor drawings
# A/ B8 W- x) L3 P% ?' C
·         Analyze customer drawings, specification and engineering notes in order to create a design that meets the customer’s needs.

·         Create a scope of work by identifying the company’s agreed to obligation.

·         Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.

·         Assist project management and estimation with draft budget changes, based on customer design/scope changes.

% }/ L) P& @, ^7 _·         Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.

·         Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.

·         Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.

/ k/ w2 z6 x; l* o' |·         Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.

% v* W; W# [% K( k7 Y. H·         Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project and the company.

·         BSc in Electrical Engineering

3 |4 F# j* M3 `  _6 Q5 R·         Registered with APEGGA as an Engineer in Training

·         Attention to detail is a must

7 y* g; B+ R9 C3 j·         Experience using AutoCAD is an asset

·         Experience with Microsoft Office is an asset

·         Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

·         Ability to manage the engineering of multiple projects simultaneously

·         Strong written and oral communication skills.

·         Possess a Class 5 driver’s license

·         Be willing to travel
