Job Description

Title: Electrician

Compensation: $37.00/h in BC, $34.50/h in SK

- E" ^" ]$ B6 I( u' E

-        Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment  
-        Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements
-        Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
  A% n# O. U; ]. {0 U-        Select type and size of pipe required
-        Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
-        Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
-        Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
3 h1 I( ^4 K/ ^; b4 e" [& H; K! C-        Test system for leaks using testing equipment
5 H) E7 H8 L/ y-        Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system
0 e" u; x9 J! M% l; u% Y7 d$ X-        Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system
-        Actively participate in the Iyinisiw safety program

Required Qualifications

-        Completion of secondary school
3 [9 s- m8 _3 G+ ^-        Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation
-        Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
-        Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
-        Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset
-        Safety tickets are considered an asset

-        Valid driver’s license is an asset

-        A minimum of 5 years’ work experience as an industrial Electrician
-        Trade certification in Saskatchewan or Interprovincial Red Seal
