Job Description:

•        To minimize the costs of operation in the Front Office Department while maximizing revenues.
' k5 u$ ?/ ~, R8 p•        Oversee hotel security requirements.
2 {' c6 B$ i( T$ s•        To recruit, train and develop Front Office personnel and provide direction, support, mentor and motivate as necessary.) k4 h) s" P! y: }7 P
•        To maintain or exceed the established standards of operation.
$ g5 R* X" z" H, y) y•        To ensure the assets of the Front Office Department are maintained and controlled in accordance with the standards and objectives of the Hotel.
9 @& a6 y0 c) @•        To communicate effectively with other Departments Heads to levels of business and type of business.+ ~2 q* d9 R! F# c9 F
•        To ensure positive closure to any negative situation. Handling and resolving guest complaints and unwanted guests.0 x6 C: [8 a) s( h
•        Be able to work all shifts including night audit when business levels are warranted. I.e. working weekends, covering sick leave.
/ a. G# i; Z' T•        Weekly scheduling of the front desk staff.
; n0 ^  o! \$ m, @1 d4 a•        Manage rates on a daily basis for short and long term.
, d* Q2 R1 a1 ~: u•        Perform 3 month and one year evaluations and/or when needed.
4 Y) D& e) J# Z- S. w•        Leading and coaching to provide exceptional guest service. 5 s/ H, |& n" X2 |! Q) t4 `$ V
•        Ensuring the safety and well being of our guests and co-workers by having working knowledge of crisis and emergency procedures and that all front desk staff are also aware.. c9 A) c- W2 Y
•        Attend Cluster meetings.
! l8 O0 }* n" W  A, i& }4 K6 \: r•        Complete month end report, ROB, Cluster calendar, tracking, forecasting, source of business and any other revenue related report.% }3 {' J& C6 R) T
•        Handle PMS computer problems in each department 1 g# e- h* z8 n3 e' D; b- _4 D
•        Handle any issue with the 4 different interfaces : PBX call accounting, PBX messages, voice mail and movies5 i" ~# ]9 _( f
•        Handle any issues dealing with high speed internet in guest rooms or business center
+ ~- v! v" S" D% w+ g- O•        Maintaining front desk floats, and FOM float
" R. q+ ^; m+ @- M' s& A•        Any other tasks assigned by the General Manager

•1-2 year of Management/ Supervisory experience in a Limited Service Property or Full Service Property) O; F% c' c3 u& M' A' Z
• Ability to deal with all levels of management, staff and businesses in a professional manner;: i( y  }6 R) E$ B8 e
• Ability to lead and develop;
: j+ D# Q" n2 U  w) j• Background in the development & execution of business and operating budgets;
$ l$ m+ u+ j+ W2 Q  f• Excellent oral & written communication skills; Strong organizational skills and be detailed orientated;: {9 x: p/ c! V; U2 q5 W7 c/ e9 }8 l
• Ability to work within deadlines;) d' ~, N% G1 f+ [" _8 b
• High level of creativity and innovation;  W9 F* ?  |' R3 @; l. [
• Proven ability to manage multi-tasked assignments;$ k  e  q8 Z& x% Y7 W/ l
• Strong interpersonal skills and a working knowledge of ACT, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
