·         Subject to strategic and major policy direction carries full responsibilities for achieving organizational goals and objectives
6 c7 Z  O( r3 r# ]·         Directing effective development, delivery and evaluations of programs or operational functions including human resource and financial management.6 ~$ w; s7 p1 c1 u, B0 Q6 v  |
·         Achieving financial results including achievement of revenue/fund development objectives" s1 g# u9 Z! Z0 Q! {, h
·         Planning and coordinating with the Board of Directors on agency policies, strategic and business plan, human resource plan, capital plan development, program development and governance.
, E6 r5 o) |5 E; A·         Oversee ISP/SP Program Managers and Accounting/Office Manager and various Program Coordinators for LINC, ECALA, Youth, Family, Senior, Multicultural Breast Health and other Community Programs0 c" T! c* d% U5 W: Z
·         Achieving community expectations and funders’ requirements/ y. \# j$ Y( G8 u+ H
·         Developing/reviewing and implementing planning and operational and other major policies/procedures # W! X3 N& O9 b7 J
·         Liaising and advocating with regional or local governments or other stakeholders.  
8 B1 X; h5 D$ Z4 q·         Liaising and coordinating with Human Resources Committee, Fundraising Committee and Program Committee to enhance overall outcomes  $ a& q& C8 x. H5 Q# j# E2 }1 L# d

·         Overall management of all agency programs9 a  a2 |/ Q6 N: i# n) ~
·         Periodic review with program leads and funders to determine needs for changes
4 m! J0 t7 l; |: }/ }& g. Q·         Work with the program coordinators to complete all program proposals including budgets and reports set out in the funding application agreements.$ i' o5 l: ~8 g2 v  K
·         Set overall program priorities and direction5 I( W7 i4 O' K, o* v( f) H4 C0 b9 P
·         Advocate community and user needs through participation of other agencies
7 m& d6 a: K7 p6 i, p) \, z% D1 y·         Lead overall development of programs and community activities to meet identified needs# w3 s3 ^* @$ P. u( {4 Q
·         Plan and lead program evaluation/survey/research
! Y' H# U* F0 q; f·         Oversee appropriate reporting
& _3 I7 @- j2 W+ u·         Assess all programs relative to ASSIST mission and vision and future trends

Staff:

·         Provide overall leadership to staff and volunteers0 {: ]5 s9 ]4 m% X
·         Provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions
5 }3 {9 ^1 |/ v' A# ^·         Monitor progress of agency service providers and coordinators
: N4 N- {" k: D7 q; b3 D- B·         Oversee and develop opportunities for staff development
% m& u* |, G' l- ~8 n$ M+ O8 |·         Meet with program staff and management team members on regular basis: U0 D4 E4 L, v# c, b
·         Build and maintain strong working relationships with staff, management team members and the Board

7 O  x- |7 v. f0 A·         Coordinate with Executive Committee on operational decisions and recommendations to the Board/ Z+ h+ l6 K5 ~7 A
·         Coordinate with the Board on policy and procedural development and revisions( s; a1 v- C- Q+ m0 _9 M$ N1 x
·         Coordinate with the Board on multi-year business development and maintenance
! E# |, Y' f) R·         Act as chief liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities/ D0 k% \& `  S" v% H- e
·         Build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of government, business, community groups, public  & funders7 l2 R# W& S# j, G) E# c
·         Plan and develop programs through liaison with community groups, funders and the Board
' E/ }" D% R# K  O* b) H·         Advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk groups/ z9 ]6 M: G$ q7 \# m
·         Work with community and other community or social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems5 T" O+ i) d) ~0 p% S: ^
·         Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff
* s" B! s. g3 C# f* x; b9 B" Y& `! w0 E7 X0 B" m8 f: O
Qualifications:
% r; l" a4 R$ x+ L9 D+ Y/ X* c
' K5 N/ f9 X' {$ f·         University degree or extensive experience in a related field;
' ~4 p4 f2 y. `- Z5 e0 [·         Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit/voluntary organization;7 e9 x2 o% X9 S1 Z0 ?
·         Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
& z7 D0 L4 I; E) ^1 B·         5 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization1 u6 y9 r) G9 ^. l
·         Fluent in English.  Knowledge of another language is preferred but not mandatory.
