  @, E# D: f% B* I6 d" `Alberta Environment , Lethbridge - If you are interested in providing environmental data support to dynamic and multi-disciplinary teams, then this is the job for you! You will acquire and manage diverse environmental data in support of integrated environmental stewardship and planning initiatives.
Working closely with a GIS specialist you will be responsible for supporting and enabling the use of spatial and other information through development of web sites and other systems to disseminate data and information. You will work with planners, educators and other technical staff to design and develop standardized relational database management systems and ensure the effective and efficient use of databases. Using your excellent communication skills, you will be responsible for providing user support and basic training related to these systems.


2 z/ w- x8 o* z1 O, P" q& dQualifications: A related technical diploma or post diploma/degree certificate and considerable related experience combined with some knowledge and experience with Access, JET SQL, HTML and related web technologies is required. Experience using; Visual Basic with Excel, VB and Java, VB and J Script, ADO and ASP are desirable. GIS and SQL server understanding and/or experience would be an asset. A valid Class 5 Driver's license is required, as this position will require regular travel. Candidates with lesser experience may be considered at a lower classification and salary.
