I bought one from HK, $150, 5'' screen, and best of all ,hackable....so that you can install any software you want, IGO, Garmin, Tomtom, you name it. ungrading new maps and POI are free all your life.

GPS is as accurate as the $500 garmin GPS. Battery sucks, only last for a hour or so, however, I don't care as I only use it on the car.

The sofware preloaded is IGO6 with a 2G sd card. I deleted it and ungraded to the newest version of IG8.3 (best GPS software on the earth)+2009.4 NA maps + redlight camera+anything I feel fancy, from here http://www.gpsunderground.com/forums/

The only think I don't like is that it too big to put in my pocket. :)

I'll take a picture for you this weekend when I use it. I tried it couple of weeks ago. very good, and cost me only $15 bucks. All you need is a 3/4'' copper water pipe and a hammer to bend it.

GPS like your mp3 nowadays. Who is still using ipod 512M? We change them every second year.

GPS will became cheaper and cheaper, just like cell phones.

My suggestions is go with the most feature ones. If you don't want to spend more money on ungrading maps, buy one I suggested. or buy this one from costco: http://www.costco.ca/Browse/Prod ... ;lang=en-CA&s=1

其实GPS是个成熟技术，民用的精确度都差不多。做个比方，ipod和从中国买来的no name mp3 player, 你听的时候能分辨出差别吗？唯一的差别是保修等。

我推荐的这款dealextreme gps, 功能和garmin 780差不多，但还多了bluetooth的功能，而且屏幕5‘’。唯一的问题是电池时间太短，这也是它便宜的一个原因。

1，导航软件是否智能，有点导航软件只会叫你U turn，而不会重新计算新的路线；
2，导航软件和地图都可以免费升级。
