中国人读错率最高的几个词

97.5%的中国人读错，不管什么水平什么学历什么身份。这个词的元音同 rain，而不是 ran 或者 run。修正起来没有难度。

David
60%的中国人读错。第一个元音同lake，很多人读成同lack。修正起来没有难度。

downtown
这个词是中国人发音最难的，能读对的人不多。修正起来难度极大。

对老末来说, 难的是wood/would/word(以前一直以为WOOD是乌得, 但是发现有些洋人也发成我得), fall/for, son/song (sin/sing), 还有就是th的音不知不觉就变成了不s/z的音, r/l在单词里有时侯也很难快速切换过来, 譬如rely结尾的.

I double checked some dictionaries, DEIvid is more common. I was corrected by a native speaker to Devid, and I use it everyday.

我觉得之所以中国人读david会成为devid是因为汉字的翻译是戴维。此类词语还有Bill 翻译比尔

这个问题香港人给圆满解决了，就是 eggs 读 /e/，把后边的辅音全省略了

我还是习惯于把那个D读出来。而且维基百科和韦氏词典都是有D音的。

跟大家混了这些天，我自己哪个音都二胡了！
downtown这个音我也不知道自己说的准不准，但是记得最开始我们发音是“当堂”，后来也是学不像，慢慢听多了，也就顺口了，大概是deang, teang的感觉

这个音不好发是因为是双元音＋鼻音。发“当汤”就是只发了单元音+鼻音，所以听起来不像。把那个“奥呜”的音发足了试试。
另：downtown里两个元音虽然一样，但是因为在同一个词里，为了发音方便，第一元音发的不饱满，第二个才是饱满的“奥呜”＋鼻音。都发饱满的话口腔感觉很困难，别扭。体会一下“ eighty eight“, 第一个／ei／不饱满，第二个才饱满。这个称不上规则，完全是顺其自然的情况。不知道我说明白了没？
