The Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals. Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. Both indoor and outdoor, fast-paced setting.* D: S% {# K9 h& @: B# a9 n! V( Q A

Job Responsibilities:

5 S/ y4 z& {/ Y( ^/ gMust be able to sort, process, grade non-ferrous materials) s: e# r- s! B3 t+ s, g2 f, b! W1 N
Inspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials- v' P" K7 j) k9 N
Loads and unloads non-ferrous material
8 M5 C+ ^0 \& a; H3 \Must be able to work safely at all times
! U- }2 D9 C C: x0 W9 z5 f( v* xBe able to effectively perform tasks independently
7 d. E: F' D; T6 Z$ ?" ePerforms routine housekeeping.( V$ Q" K- B* y# f8 l h
Observes and reports any safety issues

Understand and be able to grade all non-ferrous material properly

7 S- \ F$ G$ SKnowledge of non-ferrous processing
% u: W, B# E5 v# y) f- mHigh school diploma (Or GED)% d% |+ T# h/ @& a: E
Well-articulated and assertive5 Z7 W. j$ P. e% a' ]- O; Q4 A
Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization% j) f8 `+ @! {. w/ |# f
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos7 e# ^% d& d2 L& k. g- g: ~) T
Ability to write simple correspondence
