Responsible for activities related to design, space planning, layout, and

Coordinates and implements detailed space plans to address customer space

that do not have multiple designers and a design supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (in order of importance. Other duties may

measure layout.
* Z& d( y7 s- B" K+ n( N2. Performs programming, space planning, furniture selection, layout, casework,/ `: F+ N- U& }
product pricing, design and selection of fabrics and finishes, includes as-built
5 q8 W0 V) W+ p% sdrawings, block plans, space plans and finished working drawings for8 N8 x4 k0 O, d3 M( M0 |* ~
specification and installation.
; \( p3 Q5 O6 m8 Z( S) [1 y3. Provides professional customer interface by attending client planning9 j, a5 C5 P- d0 o
meetings to determine furniture needs and develops solutions to meet these

4. Offers technical design and creative consultation to customers by answering) f0 c8 B- w0 G% X
routine and highly specialized questions regarding furniture systems.* L8 U- Y+ j; ~$ p" n
5. Coordinates, develops, and reviews proposed project designs and construction
. c6 V u+ H9 i" k$ N1 wplans. Prepares presentation material including color finish boards. Reviews job
) T( d2 s* U: c( U4 r; esite in order to perform accurate measurements. Will do plan-to-site adherence

& Design (A&D) drawing sets.

assures specifications are ready for order entry (SIF file), and manages changes
# e" }# v( z% ]9 b) F( S& rand revisions.
2 A1 Q2 v2 d" M5 B2 |8. Verifies the company design standards have been met. Provides on-site job
) L% q3 V9 D2 W# P. [# Q- _inspections comparing construction drawings to final build-out.+ M8 I# L P1 S* X
9. Tracks, records and ties design hours to specific projects for job costing.
; W# M/ h8 w2 w# o' F/ @. G; i10. Works with installers to ensure installation meets customer specifications.

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design with a minimum of two (2) years in a
( t4 i% H" Z) d9 l; grelated field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and
* V) e$ v$ s( e' h) J) U, H1 Bexperience required. Prior experience in office furniture industry, general
' ?% W8 E) N, rknowledge of systems furniture, and experience in customer interaction required.
