Summer Job Opportunity for Children’s Summer Program Coordinator, 2009

Responsibilities:
) H% W2 c4 A' V; w# o- Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program
: L ^! J% ]+ ]! ?6 Z (ages 6 to 15)
. p8 v8 e- F4 b, F5 k; {- Recruit children for summer programs
/ h( }- m4 n7 @8 }- Recruit volunteers for summer programs
; J/ Z& ~2 J, i' q% I- Record keeping t. Q' \/ c+ d; o# A; ^: Z0 ^+ h
- Provide orientation for parents
, U- M- n% E$ W( e- Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency
9 b' e, D3 v' t9 a- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager/ W; _3 o" Z+ ~+ Z

Qualifications:
& Z5 {7 J; F3 l2 T- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
3 g0 T, \1 R! P6 S- Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children, e" {4 |; t9 _9 \" }- e
- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills1 j. u X1 @) g0 _/ d8 a
- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
+ K6 M x9 x/ O4 F* X) d! ~7 \- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
8 e6 Z1 Q0 P! ^- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
& y( T! a$ y" m- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision0 e. q+ r8 x7 I
- Returning student (should return to school after summer)4 s! x0 ~: r8 F
- Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps); H; P( u/ _3 c4 s6 I
- Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009- P" {2 w2 G( B( ?7 Q4 a- L

Salary
