Program Co-ordinator – Smart Choices (AADAC)
Responsibilities

- design poetry contest for grades 4-6 students on problem gambling
- solicit donations for poetry contest tokens of appreciation
& Q5 f! e2 K# c1 u8 h- develop promotional tools for poetry contest
, T# h* j4 j. G: G5 g5 Y- contact elementary schools in Edmonton and area, Calgary to set up display on problem gambling awareness

1 ^1 b* R/ ?; f  R- contact local library, community agencies, government buildings and City Hall in Edmonton and Calgary for permission to display poetry entries
- collaborate with Mirror Theatre to design workshops and presentations
- contact elementary schools in Edmonton and area to attend the Mirror Theatre workshops and presentations
- set up displays and deliver presentations at elementary schools and community events
- host Mirror Theatre workshops and presentations
- perform evaluations for Mirror Theatre workshops and presentations
- display poetry entries in a local libraries, community agencies, City Hall with forms for viewer’s choice
- select panel of judges for poetry contest
- award students with most insightful poetry contributions

$ s" ^* I& @3 x, d- prepare and write monthly report and quarterly financial report

- post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences with at least 2 years of work experience in social services, addiction services, community work or family services as well as experience working in projects. Fluency in oral and written English, other Asian languages an asset. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Computer literacy required, including MS Words, Excel, internet.

Salary:
: o  U7 t* m% @" C$ F' P: [8 S$ M  R& S$13.50/hour + benefits including CPP, EI, WCB, Alberta Health and 50% Blue Cross (year one)
