Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator
Responsibilities:
6 G; l' }/ ]3 r. y  a, j' z- Organize focus group(s)
- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
- Recruit children for summer program
- Provide orientation for parents
- Find sponsors to enhance program
8 @. V7 X; W# F3 `8 O- Supervise volunteer(s)
- Prepare final report for funding agency

Qualifications:
7 j6 u1 f/ W" s$ }3 o
- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
: J2 v( g$ O! y2 R* }$ O$ t+ O- communication skills
( i) F. B- B* E- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
& l# I  T, \( t5 F$ x2 O5 s! G- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
- good computer skills
- leadership abilities
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Other

- must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Salary

! O, @9 u  P/ S% k- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
