Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator

  m# X- @' h* H" m8 L2 y' \3 `. {- Organize focus group(s)
- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
- Recruit children for summer program
- Provide orientation for parents
- Find sponsors to enhance program
- Supervise volunteer(s)
- Prepare final report for funding agency

- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
0 ^  q/ ]" g$ ^) ?$ j$ x- l* r- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
8 Y4 H; q. K* o- G: N1 E$ F- communication skills
8 f4 {! d: H' A) [- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
) N' m0 G7 E' M, m. t. s$ h4 d- good computer skills
- leadership abilities
* D4 a7 {8 y. t# y( G4 U- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Salary

- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
