7 q) S! J+ i( vTHE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:
24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
This fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
Eligibility Criteria
! ^; e" V2 E4 W  E4 f8 n" pAll potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
& b! w" c3 ~( J•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
' m4 f. J4 G$ |. J7 {( ~6 f* O•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
$ ~, h& r/ Z) m# }: E9 _" N•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
$ R5 w. e0 |6 L& U5 ^4 ^; _. v•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
•Be eligible to work in Canada

Time Commitment
The maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
