The energy giant said the 125,000-barrel-per-day unit was shut down after the fire, and it is currently assessing damage.1 J' u- n8 N% W8 o J5 p, w

Suncor has been plagued by a series fires at its oilsands operations in the past five months, suffering three fires since October in the upgraders which convert bitumen into synthetic crude oil.
