7 ?& E4 p1 R% K- v7 {, X Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
 Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
4 T# T* L: n) L  | Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
$ `- S7 D8 S$ P0 V6 e$ x0 U Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
( }9 O5 n) A! Q4 X$ U/ @- w Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
 Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
 Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

Qualifications
( f9 E1 m' _0 O: }" v+ v Social work degree or diploma
$ d/ _7 l6 b( F5 I! d Current RSW designation preferred   
 Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
8 J5 l; Z0 ~) T) E5 S Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
 Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
0 K' y. j9 ^4 F' p Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
) t  ^% Y/ D9 A) m Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
4 I; a9 x' \) S8 J2 N8 S. M: J Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
 Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
