Job Description
" T$ T7 B9 K2 q4 V& p% \% p- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
8 ^4 t" |8 r. H+ F' V% j1 @2 `- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.! \% ^! B/ L3 i( y; n+ U1 P
- develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP( e3 C( z+ }) b' D# j1 _% c2 R
- provide support to ISP staff" S+ N' }* j4 l$ C
- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
- V1 U. R! c4 m M. o1 q1 Z( a S- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities% ?; B0 S( m- _! A. K+ V
- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
; I1 x6 {/ i( y$ t1 V- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants9 G% q' @6 H! i: u! L6 o
- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals5 h; Z. Q6 c t. f5 h
- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder
- v# e. q% U% ]3 r: p' R- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
, Y% q; w% k+ v; i+ A% m# `- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities
" u& @; H5 x$ ~- t- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned
" e7 y$ _* n! D- other duties as assigned

$ r4 f5 | a' QQualifications
# e3 s& _. L: z5 J- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
3 O4 o0 W9 E2 i- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
" g% N7 z; k8 p- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers
7 t0 Q+ u, ]) c, x- o- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software9 C& N' J; A& G! f2 \% R- y h
- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)5 _4 }0 ^7 r! ^4 t
- good interpersonal and people skills
