Alberta Innovates – Technology Futures (AITF) is part of Alberta’s research and innovation system and is helping build healthy, sustainable businesses in the province. 4 W' C( C/ r/ Z; b; ]The Environment and Carbon Management Division works with industry and government to develop, test and deploy new technologies and process that will help build commerce in Alberta while reducing environmental impacts. Our Environmental Analytical Services Portfolio located in Vegreville works with private and public sector clients to identify contaminants and provide monitoring designs.

We require a chemical technologist to perform analyses on routine and non-routine samples pertaining to research projects and fee for service clients. The successful candidate will log and prepare samples for analysis; perform instrumental analysis; calibrate and maintain equipment; interpret data; and assist with generating client reports. & t" ?# h B# ]3 ^
7 _4 s, p6 V4 D& ]) }4 {Candidates should have a diploma in Chemical Technology and at least two years related experience in chemical analysis (equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered). . Computer and quality assurance and quality control knowledge are essential. You must have strong communication skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

This position is a temporary 18-month position and is included in the bargaining unit.
