5 j1 g9 r* n% Y- Z3 b- Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment
$ e* X1 @' e. `$ z- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements
4 |+ W- K t# h$ P/ {( `- Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
+ I; x7 @" x$ V. V& B5 Y5 f- Select type and size of pipe required
9 L2 g& p/ N7 Z, b- Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
0 Q9 ^ I4 ^ P6 d$ p n/ ?- Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system

- Test system for leaks using testing equipment

- Actively participate in the Iyinisiw safety program

- Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation 7 k! n' `; R, w" L! j; I8 i' [3 I7 X+ ^
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- ^, g' H/ t6 J- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence# k f, w0 m+ o: S6 |
- Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset/ Y8 B1 z2 |7 f8 g# P( |7 r( i) o
- Safety tickets are considered an asset) k5 {8 d" K7 {" A! R
- Valid drivers’ license is an asset
