Edmonton's record-breaking hot weather on Friday had Edmontonians out sunning themselves and believing that winter is finally over.

She estimated she sold four times as many cold drinks Friday as she did hot drinks.

+ |( r: {; W6 ^+ B3 ?9 rChou could find herself blending up a lot of ice this summer, according to CBC meteorologist Johanna Wagstaffe.
/ _: `  y' P& L5 g# [+ T4 P4 n  R$ C; e: t0 z$ |
"An El Nino is building and typically that means hot, dry summers for Alberta," Wagstaffe said.
# z) f4 W: e) D! t! `# ?1 _# \4 C6 L4 s- |+ e
Even though she's optimistic for the summer, the meteorologist said anyone who hasn't taken off their winter tires yet may want to wait a few more weeks.5 D9 }9 ?7 B/ v6 b. m5 }- ~

"The long range forecast is very spring-like but on average even May could see a couple centimetres of snow. It's not out of the question."
